Eligibility
(1) Academician of the Chinese Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Engineering: annual salary to be discussed face to face; subsidies can reach up to RMB 4.19 million, among which the house-purchasing subsidy can reach up to RMB 2.5 million, house-renting subsidy can reach up to RMB 180,000, the social insurance subsidy can reach up to RMB 12,000 and the subsidy for individual income tax can reach up to 1.5 RMB million; scientific research funding varies from case to case;
(2) Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Scholars and Specialist of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program held by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and the Recruitment Program of Global Experts (RPGE): RMB 1.3 million for basic annual salary, and RMB 2.1 million for subsidy, among which the house-purchasing subsidy can reach up to RMB 2 million, house-renting subsidy can reach up to RMB 100,000, the social insurance subsidy can reach up to RMB 9,000, and also with individual income tax subsidy;
(3) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent of the RPGE: RMB 1 million for basic annual salary, and RMB 2.1 million for subsidy, among which the house-purchasing subsidy can reach up to RMB 2 million, house-renting subsidy can reach up to RMB 100,000, the social insurance subsidy can reach up to RMB 9,000, and also with individual income tax subsidy;
(4) Winner of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, Talents of the Chang Jiang Young Scholars Program held by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and the Recruitment Program of Global Young Experts: RMB 500,000 for basic annual salary, and up to RMB 1.59 million for subsidy, among which the house-purchasing subsidy can reach up to RMB 1.5 million, house-renting subsidy can reach up to RMB 90,000, the social insurance subsidy can reach up to RMB 6,000, and also with individual income tax subsidy;
This term also applies to prospective professor from renowned universities at home and abroad, with the equivalent academic achievements and academic level;

§ Master, PhD or equivalent degree in a computational mechanics, materials or mechanical and manufacturing engineering science subject;
§Minimum 3 years postdoctoral research or equivalent experience in numerical modelling and simulation of materials manufacturing processes such as casting, welding and metal forming, using commercial finite element software package ABAQUS;
§ Recognised international profile in engineering and/or materials science research;
§ Solid scientific background in his/her relevant discipline;
§ Noticeable potential of an independent scientific profile in engineering or related discipline (publication record);
§ Experience of solving real industrial problems using numerical modelling and simulation as a tool, with particular relevance to nuclear power plant component manufacture and in-service performance;
§ Excellent writing and presentation skills both in Chinese and English.
Desirable
§ Sound knowledge of traditional as well as innovative metals processing technologies, such as 3D printing;
§ Experience of multi-scale, multi-physics modelling using ABAQUS through development of advanced user subroutines;
§ Experience in modelling prediction and experimental characterisation of welding residual stress and distortion;
§ Working level knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, Python);
